Well don Chive, tough match between two Dreadnoughts. You had more hp on yours but mine could shoot fire-works!

My strategy was to get the Party-Robots and try level them up to gold for the fire-works, so I just built a few engineers for roads, a few musketeers to defend behind the walls and then 1 turn robots for the rest of the game. I also went for advanced logistics for the extra movement on roads, but it takes a while to research!

I took a few screenshots, here is one from when I cleared a Sanctum, the reward is not bad! Not as good as a summoning spell, but I will take the 900 mana thank you very much.

Here is the last one, where Chive attacked me outside his gates, might have been more causalities on my side if you stayed behind your walls!

Thanks for the game and good luck in the rest of the tournament!

And we managed to play 40 rounds on top of that <smiletext1>

CHAARGE! ;-)
I knew you would expect me to play necro so I practiced goblin dread ever since I saw the roster <smiletext1> In one of the first turns I decided to go after some frostling royal guards which were defending building resources... all went well but I forgot about icy explosive death and lost 3 units...
Arctic concealment, cave concealment - your armies were annoyingly invisible. I tried to sneakily get to you through the underground but ran into roaming bone dragons and had to backtrack, which further slowed me down.

Guys, you get a penalty for speed excess! Come on, don't tell me you finished the game 6 days after the round started?

Hehe, I saw you had some good golems, with flowrock mechanics, very nice! They have more hp then my gold medal party robots, but behind the wall they will not be effective <smiletext0>

In my opinion Goblins and Hafling is the hardest class to play, so 1/2 is done for each of us. I was half expecting you to play Necro, so I thought Dreadnought would be a good counter, but I must say it was a good surprise you also play Dread, so I got a bit more time to build a proper army. There was 2 times where I was vulnerable for attack, because my scouts couldnt cover all the area where you potentially could be, it was the turn after I re-took my human vassal city, then I had only 9 units defending, then the turn before you took the city, there i had the same 9 units next to the crystal tree. Not sure if you saw them, but the following turn you took the city.

Heh, GG I guess - time to mop me up :-)
I made a massive mistake on turn 1 which slowed me down to a crawl. But I see potential in the gobbos :-)

Not a problem for me, I usually do other stuff, take a pause and play my turn. But a slower pace wouldn't bother me, I rarely use a timer anyway!

Great idea!
I will probably slow down a bit next week but squeezing in 2 matches before next round should be possible <smiletext0>

Hehe, yeah, this have been phenomenal pace!
No matter the outcome, I offer you a rematch to practice for the next round. We will for sure have time for both 1 and 2 matches before the other games are finished!

Smelly and slimy machines vs pretty and luxurious machines <smiletext1>
Nice pace btw :-)

Rechecked to be sure but I have the main branch installed only. However, I've noticed that in some games I get a warning about upgrading the session to a newer version even if the game runs the same version already.
I run GOG version btw.

Gonna rejoin in a minute.

Wow, good spot, certainly an eye for details!

Fixed and re-hosted, for some reason I also got a incorrect mod warning, even though I hosted with main branch PBEM mod.

chiveicrook, did you join with beta or without? Anyway it's re-hosted now anyway, please join again.

Class/race received for both so you can start BUT there is a small issue with the settings: it should be Few Roads, not Average.
