I checked your units before wandering on lava with my leader. There were no units which could have killed my leader. Imo there was absoultely no risk. ;-)
I am always splitting my stacks which allows me to clear in different directions. When I say DN is too slow then I did not talk about leveling my leader/hero. It works fine in every setup. Even when I lose games in most cases I am ahead with the levels of my leader/hero. Sadly it's not all about leveling them...
As you said I havn't had much golems. Even with mana fuel cells I wasn't able to one-turn them and therefore decided to skip them and go for cannons. Couldn't reach that point as I wrote before...
About the inn. I havn't had enough gold to buy any unit. Give me 300 more and I would have attacked you with the additional units at this point.
A key issue was also that you have had researched scorched earth. Loosing this big city hurts a lot and I couldn't recover from this. It costs me a turn to research the cannons and income in due to the happiness malus.
Well. In this game, firstly, you shouldn't split your stacks. Secondly, you wasn't afraid to go on lava by your leader - you were lucky that I couldn't reach you that turn Thirdly, I don't know, was it confidence in your strength or simply a mistake - you cleared the inn near your second city on your way but didn't leave there any unit to protect it - easy reinforcement at your back door 😍
I can't agree with you about DN''s progress - when we had met your leader was 13 lvl, but my leader reached 11 lvl after that I was surprised that you was focused on drones, but not on robots.
About that fight - I totally forgot about Bomb Squad Ability from your leader, so I wasn't be prepared that my units were dying in bloody mess. Also I'm pretty sure that stunning ability from my leader didn't work at least once per that fight =O I was hoped that my shooters will kill your first stack easily. But they didn't(( And there appeared your second stack very fast ))) Even in that position you had some chances to win. And yes, if there were more units in your stacks I wouldn't attack you Or if your stacks were positioned by another way I understand why your stacks were in that position but you shouldn't go there to end your turn by such way =) AI played this fight for me awfully - it even killed drone while my another unit was staying near that drone : )) About more number of drones - I'm not sure. They have one feature - usually they attack enemies from the adjacent hexes. So they can die one by one in line when there are many drones in the fight. And I was hoped that tigran cavlry will survive in this fight
Few words about my way - as usual for Sorc I had mana hungry at the start. But I was very lucky with scouting. And when I saw Light's wisp which I couldn't catch up, I was afraid that he can come from the flank - it seemed absolutely in vain. And as always, the map wasn't perfect for our team. I should move in circles few turns and run by empty lands on my way towards your borders
Finally the game is over for me. DN is still to slow and can't compete with other classes. Anyways good game from you guys. Could have started building cannons from this turn on but now it's too late.
The shitty movement of my drones costs me the last fight imo. I could have won with one more drone and I am pretty sure that I would have won with 2 more drones.
