Unfortunately the game was started late & had some mid-game delays, and so it concluded without being even close to finished.

@personian and SleepingDog, if you guys wish, we can do a private game with the same races/classes <smiletext0> I don't think Eskild would mind <smiletext0>

Hi there! SleepingDog sent us the scores and we confirm the victory of Bastards of the North.
Sorry that it had to be won by score. Please hurry up to prepare for round 3 to avoid that in your next game.

Please also edit the report with the actual class/race.

@SleepingDog, dude seriously? You and Personian are the ones to build the forts all across the map to increase domain and now you're blaming me and Eskild for going for multiple cities?

I have not seen the overall score, but I did see your (and Personian's <smiletext0>) armies marching towards us and dare to say, that the forces he and I have are no less than the ones you had <smiletext0> So I believe military scores should be close.

@Ezekiel
The scores are taken after you surrendered, which doesn't matter since you don't lose points when you giving up.

But why you where curious about the scores? We have expanding vs no expanding, not a surprise that you win by score.

Hi! SleepingDog, it's apparently your turn and personian quitted without sending us the scores (same for Ezekiel). Could you please follow the process as I sent in the chat and send the scores to the judges by private message WITHOUT leaving the game? (when I say "quit", I mean "save & quit")

Thanks!

I just got the turn handed to me and surrendered as Personian left and I was curious about the scores - so I hope the screenshots of the scores have already been taken.

<smiletext0>

Seemed like a definite score victory for my team. No major battles player vs player in the game whatsoever.

Hi! Personian, when do you think you can follow the process to end the game? Round 3 already started.

Thanks!

Hi there.  Out of town at the moment; I did receive the end-game instructions and will do so over the next day or two, when I get a chance.  Thanks for your patience!

About 4 hours 30 minutes left, so probably the last turn. Please keep us informed whose turn it is after the deadline is crossed.

user

31 hours left until the end of round. The deadline is 2019-03-31 9:31 PM GMT+0.

So personian, please follow the 5 steps listed when it's time. In particular, remember to save & exit before you surrender, back up the save, then surrender, then save & exit again WITHOUT sending the turn to the next player.

Hello,

apologies if you're waiting on me, I had rough day yesterday and today will be home late, but nevertheless will make my turn then

Why is the turn timer still paused, did i miss somethink?

Published on Mon, 25 Mar 2019 16:25:56 +0100

Yep.  No problem, message acknowledged about how to end the game.

Now let's get in as many turns as possible, shall we?  ;-)

Hi,
I believe Personian is the last in turn order?

user
Published on Sun, 24 Mar 2019 22:54:39 +0100

Hi! SleepingDog sent a video of his turn which we were able to check.

Round 2 ends in a bit less than 7 days (see the time count here: https://www.the-battlefield.c... />It seems very unlikely that your match will be won before the deadline. It will therefore be decided by score. The procedure is as follow:

1/ the current strategic turn is played until the last player in the turn order
2/ that player plays his turn, saves & quits, copy the save game to a backup folder
3/ that player re-enters the game and surrenders, then takes screenshots of all the scores. He does NOT end the turn. Instead he quits the game without ending the turn.
4/ he sends the screenshots to judges (Marcus, Jonny and me)
5/ judges check the scores and take a decision

Could you please confirm who is the last player in the turn order? Can this player please confirm he read this message and understood?

SleepingDog gets a warning without adequate proof. Unfortunately, there is no other choice, since even if it is possible that an Ironman notification was given by the game for no reason, we have no way to know for sure.

@SleepingDog: please get in touch with me on the chat, we'd need you to record the next turn or equivalent.

@AlX: yes you can continue.

Hello,

am I clear to continue the turn?

Published on Tue, 19 Mar 2019 21:08:21 +0100

No there wasn't an Ironman notification as far as I remember.
Even if i think about resarting my turn accidentally, I would have to do my temple fight again which was definitely not the case. This just doesn't make any sense.

Hi! The game says there was a restart so apparently something strange happened. SleepingDog, you don't remember getting a window when you entered the game saying you were going to have an Ironman notification?

I sent a PM to SleepingDog, copy other judges. I'll send another one this evening EU time, depending on the answer.

Lol i didn't restarted my turn??? I just saved in the middle of my turn and continued later.

Hello,

@SleepingDog, I have two questions:
1. why did you restart your turn?
2. why you didn't report this?

I believe it should be turn 27.

A bit more than 2 weeks before the end of the round. What turn did you reach?

user
Published on Thu, 07 Mar 2019 00:20:00 +0100

Hi! So after discussion among judges, personian gets a warning for reload without adequate proof (no screenshot, etc.). We did receive the video following the Ironman notification.

You can continue, good luck for the rest!

@personian: please in debug mode from now on.

Published on Wed, 06 Mar 2019 23:13:12 +0100

I restarted the turn & recorded it. Probably best to wait for Hiliadan's go-ahead before continuing.

Reminder of rule 4:
"4. In the event of a crash (from your PC or from AoW), reloads are allowed BUT the player who crashed needs to take appropriate screenshots, pictures or videos (with a mobile phone for instance) and sends them to the judges. The player who crashed must not re-enter the game after the crash, he must wait for feedback from the judges allowing the game to continue. The turn timer must be turned off by the host while waiting for judges’ feedback (see rule 8). Reloads should be counted by all players and reported to the judges. If no proof of a justified crash or in case of repeated reloading (during one match or during the tournament as a whole), the judges have full power to disqualify the player."

If the mouse was frozen, I wonder how you killed the app? And in any case, you can take pictures with a smartphone.

I'm sending a PM to other judges to decide what we do.

Published on Thu, 28 Feb 2019 20:56:41 +0100

Hmm, the problem is that my screen froze, including the mouse.  I had to reboot the machine.  I'm happy to send in log files or whatever you think may help.....

Hi - you should post whatever evidence of the process you have, pictures or videos or alike, to the judges, and await with progressing/taking your turn until you have heard from them.

Best thing would be if you had run the game in debug mode (under the "Miscellaneous" tab in the launcher) and had the log-file from that (though I don´t know how to recover that, when the game crashes in that mode).

Cheers - hope for a quick decision from the judges.

Published on Thu, 28 Feb 2019 00:32:06 +0100

Had a screen freeze; was forced to kill the app.  I believe I'm supposed to await further instruction from the judges?  Let me know what you need from me.  Cheers!

Hi! So after discussion among judges, we conclude that Ezekiel gets 2 warning equivalent to "with proof" for 1/ the crash for which he provided pictures which we judged adequate (though next time, please try to make a video with your smartphone and/or show the message saying the program crashed) and 2/ continuing to play in breach of rule 4.

We requested him to play in debug mode and to send a video of turn 17.

You can continue, good luck!

So Ezekiel, you should not have finished your turn...

@all: please stop the game for now.
I sent a PM to the other judges today, should have an answer soon.

Game crashed due to a power failure on my computer (charger wasn´t plugged in). Somehow the game still runned after plugging power but have halted in it´s process and was non-responding. I tried making a dump file but it seemed nothing happened.

I got some shitty mobile photos of the issue (snipping tool wouldn´t open) - sending them to the judges.

Perhaps you should wait with proceeding with your turns until the judges have reviewed the issue sent by PM to them.
