Game #599 | 2vs2 no training

I could lvl quite fine in the beginning until i lost my leader cause i am stupid - then i get rolling and cleared some high lvl sites and thought it may be a good idea to go for Fist´s not so well defended home cities. I took 4 cities but the damage was not too big cause i canceled razing the capital again due to stupidity. Then i realized that 6 stacks were after - and in front of - me, so i was trapped and at least managed it to move into a canyon where any attacker had to fight 2 stacks against 1. So for the second half of the game i was trapped there and doomed to be rather passive. When Tass made his mistake and lost his leader and Rrrookie his throne i thought maybe we can turn the game but Fist was incredible strong and far ahead of us, i had nothing against his earth elementals which could only laugh at the dmg cannels i could offer.
At the end of the day, what i will remember about this game is Tass fucking cool city names, up the Irons ;-)

Epic Fist!

Good match to fist and tass. There were a few moments that I recognize as key turning points in the match:

1. Jonny and I both got off to great starts and were positioning ourselves for good early map control, with lots of vassals and cleared sites. Around turn 17-20 I attacked a Tigran themed dungeon with my leader, my rogue hero I got turn 1, and some exalted. I had quickly evolved martyrs to exalted, and was getting into our opponents side of the map in the UG. Basically, my rogue hero got pounced 2 or 3 times in one turn and was killed immediately. I realized I had no shot in this fight and tried to retreat my army. Only my leader escaped alive. I did not yet have resurgence stack. I continued with my rush to try and support Jonny but it was of little consequence for our opponents. This killed our momentum across the map and set Jonny to basically fight 1v2 in the midgame (of which he did a very good job). 

2. in the mid/late game Jonny and I were moving one stack of his with 2 of mine into what we believe were the lightly guarded lands of Tass. Due to a miscommunication, Jonny moved his stack too far for mine to keep up with. Tass took advantage and took out Jonny's lone stack, however Tass' leader died in the battle. That was very unlucky for Tass as he had at least 2 full stacks against Jonny's lone stack. My 2 stacks were pretty strong and were able to beat Tass' troops back to his throne. It was now Jonny and I vs Fist.

3. Fist had snowballed out of control however. He had summon earth elemental. With Jonny's leader dead (this was quite the story in itself), Fist attacked Jonny's throne. Fist was outnumbered, but had a quality advantage with his leader and earth elemental in the battle. It was a close one, and if Fist had lost his leader I may have been able to quickly end the game. Fist won and his leader lived, so it was a 1v1. I was much weaker than Fist and he made quick work of me. 

Good game to everyone involved. I rated it 2 but it should really be a 1. Tass and Fist played great and Jonny too. I let you down Jonny. 

Edit: does anyone have a picture of the trap you guys had Jonny in for the entire midgame?

sorry guys I know my turn is highly anticipated but I am on my honey moon and only doing my turns for my 2v2 tournament game

I can understand your frustration, that was a very bad outcome for you. I´d say you won the battle but maybe lost the war.
If i can comfort you, i really like your city names;-) Up the irons

Yes the tides are turning. You guys could change that though if you end the standoff by attacking Jonny : )

I'm out of town till next tuesday, I'll try and squeeze a turn or two while I'm away but not sure about it...

No problem. I have been out of town and moving and I made this a lower priority than my tournament games. I should be able to turn around my turn in the next 24 hours but no need to add a turn timer anyway.

No worries, it´s good timing cause rrrookie is away too ;-)
