Ok, that was one of the reasons I was a bit unsure about going back in turns, but let us set up a rematch then.

I think Jean_de_Metz wanted to play on our side. Will your team be the same? Ofc Kwibus can be in there, too
He will be the 1st who gets defeated

nope , I have no idea how that happened

I guess we are going to have to have a rematch.

as for Forkul , I have seen him complete games before.... no idea why he dropped this one.

I don´t get why newbies join such a big team game. How dumb can you be.
Maybe the hosts should check their members before starting a game

Earl just said it is turn 27 now? We were on turn 56. I don´t think this was your intention?

The true cause of the mess was Forkul leaving the match

Really enjoying this game so a restart would be fine with me as well.

Glad we found a solution to all of this! Once again apologies for causing this mess.

Ok you could reload as well, If something fails, we can go on with a new game.
Loosing points is not a problem for me, so it can still could count if it is put to an end some day

I think we don´t have to ask Lighform what should be done

I am still of the opinion that we revert turns back to the turn where he accepted the AI surrender....

and it should be possible and not all that difficult to do.

But this is a democracy so I am prepared to listen to and agree with whatever the majority here woud like to do.

And yes I was aware some time ago that Kiwibus is expectant of a new child.....and can imagine some of the stress that that is causing him. There are times in PBEM when I was in a rush and played turns making various mistakes because of real life influences such as stress or inebriation or time constraints when there was turn timer. Or just played turns when I was "not thinking straight"

another fair option would be to call for  a full REMATCH allowing the other team to find a more reliable teammate.

I know most of the players are likely enjoying this match ( like most of the pbems I host ) but the fairness scale has tipped even futher away from one team. ( also part of why I gave gladis warning before attacking his throne )

anyhow

whatever happens

if we continue , I think at the end of game I will delete this match so that no players involved have any kind of rankin points awarded or lost.

that way there is nothing at stake , and its just for fun.

thanks for your understanding.

What I did was obviously wrong and I don't know why my brain let me down when making those desicions, because I agree with Gladis that it's an easy and obvious choice. It just didn't occur to me.

Is it really not better to reload 2 turns back? I didn't play my turn yesterday because of this ongoing discussion and I won't be able play my turn within 12 hours as I can't reach the 2nd floor of my house where my pcmis due to people working in my house. So consider what to do and if we agree to play on with me disbanding the free units/heroes then I will do just that tonight. Shouldn't I raze the former capital as well?

Ok I think we fighting on then. I simply wasn´t able to underatand your action, but maybe some other players are right if they think you weren´t aware to this being unfair. My personal opinion is another since I think it should be an easy decison (not the auto-fight - close one for many players I fear - but the issue with capitulation).
I´m sure Seer will be aware of what Earl and I do in another game xD

The former AI units + 2 heroes should be sent away - I don´t know if it´s possible to send heroes away

For me the other things must not be changed.  After all the game should come to an end..
But we will give you a hard time!

We will discuss our differences in PM, Kwibus.

Congrats for your child btw

For sure it's okay to fight against the KI, but then in auto-combats like against human players of course <smiletext1>

PS: Didn't read your comment.

Just to say, I support Kwibus, I believe he is an honest player and I was surprised by the bad rating. He probably made a big mistake here but I hope you guys can find a solution. <smiletext0>
(I'm writing that as a normal player, I remind you judges' perimeter is limited to the tournament for which they are judges, outside, people police themselves alone)

I forgot to reply to Gladis first comment.

I agree that I never should've manual fought the AI. That's indeed an obvious lame move, but I'm completely honest here when I say that unfortunately I just didn't think about it when I did this.
Actually I think that in the past I've ran into a same situation like this and I did auto-battle the AI, but somehow I'm shooting blanks now as why my brain left a big fart.
Probably because I'm in a very hectic period of my life with a lot of work on my house and my 2nd child coming between now and week. Ofcourse this isn't an excuse, but I just don't know why I didn't think of it and I completely understand why someone would think I'm an abusive unfair player. I would've thought the same.

Once again... I'm sorry, but please next time send me a message first!

I'm sorry, but believe me I never even thought of it being a bad act of sportsmanship(That's maybe dumb, but it really didn't occur to me). I was just wondering why Earl and Gladis gave me a bad player fairness rating and as this game and the 2vs2vs2vs2 game is the only one I'm playing with them I checked the comments to find this.

I'm all for going back a few turns, if it's a move that's not considered as fairplay. In a way I understand it's not fair as it's allready 3 vs 4 ,but then again what am I supposed to do with the AI?
I was mostly fighting the AI as it's what I found on my path with my army.(So I didn't go look for him!!) If I ignore the AI it will eventually attack me as my strong army will move forward and then it will strike my weak settlements behind my main forces.

So in al my naivity I would like to know the common rule about this situation as it's a new one for me. AoW3 is the first time I'm playing an 4x online so maybe this is something normal for you, but it's a new situation for me.
I'm all for fairplay so if this is unacceptable then I must accept to consequences and delete the units/heroes I got from the AI and raze the former capital to the ground.
I understand your point about the empire quest which I can not revert so in that case we need to return.

If it's possible to go back 2 turns then that's also fine with me, but then tell me how to handle the AI?

p.s. You can make fun of me and flame me down Earl and Gladis, but maybe you could've contacted me first about this situation.
Then again you guys don't know me and I would've most likely drawn quick conclusions as well in a similar situation I'm familiar with and others are not.

Wouldn´t make sense I think. Better option would be if the former AI units would be sent away!

But it would only fix some points. Not the possible loss of some units in a fair fight, not the lost city + unit of Earl, not his reached empire quest with 100 units. I honestly think about ending this game. This isn´t the way I wan´t to play, so best way is to quit in this case. Ofc not every player will be with me, but then I beg him not to join in a game with me.

Should we Revert enough turns to go back and change what happened ?

I was a little surprised to see that occurrence myself this turn.

Kwibus, you are by far the best player EVER!
Stunning how you took out our AI and then accepted his capitulation.

Very honourable. I won´t play a game with you, because you are way too strong for me!

Nice, that blow with the leave of a player wasn´t big enough. You still need opponents who figth manual aganst the AI to leave you even more on the lower side.

Yes very close. bad AI moves on both sides. Swarm darters kept firing at the flyer and your leader came to heal a elemental and was assassinated by the phantoms. But I knew that you try to conquer my throne, did some kind of gamble in these rounds though, but the support of teammates was vital in this
