At the beginning Cantaneda and me went along with a no aggression agreement. With no thread around me I just did one thing: expanding as fast and aggressivly as i possibly could. Luckily i didn´t do any major mistakes in this game, and was gathering strength massivly. I took care of the ai dreadnought, who gave me a very hard battle. I had to conquere his throne against lots of cannons and at around 5 juggernauts, who where really tough to fight.

Thanks to my non-dying army, transfere pain and massive healing behind the lines i could take him out. As it turned out, that was an brilliant idea, because the cities were worth the trubble. Pure goldmines and the new workbench of my empire. I think the rest of the players must have grown wary. My domain reached over almost half the map now, also down in the underground. Gilafron was south, Olop west.

The next brilliant idea was to expand to the sunny south, so i went to war with Gilafron. We had some issues before, so it was only logical to do so. At this time i was pumping out orcish exaltet and shrines as many as i possibly could. When i declared war to Gilafron, suddently also Olop went against me, and then even Castaneda. I was a bit shocked, but as it turned out that Castaned did just press the wrong button and allied with me some turns after that.

The coming battles were quite big, but thanks to my orcish angels there was not much my enemies could do. I had a hard time collecting points for armageddon due to the many fightings per round, but as soon as i casted it, the power was overwhelming and victory was near. Around turn 80 everything was over and the world was save once more.
Thanks to all for that thrilling match!
Jonny

Markymark got eliminated early, I believe from independents.  Gilafron and Jonny Thunder seemed to get the best start.  Around round thirty, they had the highest domain and city count.  Jonny took out the halfling dreadnaught (A.I.) who had started building Unity Beacons.  With the A.I. enhanced cities, he took a significant advantage.  Castaneda allied with Jonny and Olop allied with Gilafron and the final battles commenced.  Castaneda cast Armageddon and had huge armies of flying, resurgent exalted with several smiting shrines.  Gilafron did disjunct Armageddon after 5-10 turns, but too little too late.  Jonny would rolled over Olop and Gilafon with some support from Castaneda.  Jonny would have beaten all three remaining players even if they had allied together (which Gilafron tried to get Castaneda to do).

My (Gilafron) one big mistake was that right before my war with Jonny, I lost my leader in a battle where I missed clicked.  I thought I had ranged weapon selected, but, nope, my leader charged a company of baddies alone.  It did set my research back three turns and caused four or so champion-level griffons and phantasmal warriors to desert.  I was researching Age of Magic, but never got close to it after that set back.  This set back did not alter the outcome, I think Jonny had the game in hand at this point.  It would have only slowed him down a bit.

Good Game, on turn 36 we have found in a big battle. 3vs3. 4 Heroes on every side, he has a t4 snake and a t3 elf Flyers and much elf riders. i had two sundisc and a fairy and a tigran Berserker.
My first suspect was a lost battle, but i had very luck in this game.

Firstly luck: started with the sundisc then much good strikes.  It was a suspense game. Thank you Castaneda for this great fight.

Was a nice game for you. I think after turn 20 the game was dominated from me.

Got the Archonier than vasall. Have lost some good Units (lvl3, heroes) but got archonier Units and with the power of this Units, i got some more seduced Units. With this stacks i tried an attack (not with all Units, just see his cities and his defense). I got some Units more through camp and after a weak defense cities, so i had nearly three stacks (2 Units are only from me, all others from Mission, seduced).

I has surprised him so, i have captured his main City. I tried to make a defense and he attack me with all Units. Maybe he was stronger in this last fight, but he lost his wizard and died.

It was game 2 after Castaneda got killed very quickly in our previous game (and the one before also ) so main objective for Castaneda was surviving after turn 11... and he did! Up to turn 26.

Our armies were of similar size but he lacked scouting and did not see my main stack coming while  I knew his 2nd city was mostly undefended and 4 units guarded his capital. I set a trap by attacking the 2nd city with 2 wolves (that had already killed a scout) and he fell into it, thinking I only had these 2 T2. So he sent his capital's guards, which I crushed easily with my leader stack who was waiting close-by.

Then I easily took the undefended capital and launched the hunt for the leader, who died a few turns later.

Sorry Castaneda! ^_^

Yup Hiliadan. You´re right, Fenfer quit, Castaneda didn´t.

Eskild, you reported that Castaneda was a quitter (or there was a bug and it was what was registered anyway). You confirm it's Fenfer, right? I corrected it.

Nice match.

Having a bit trouble finding out which file to attach. Tried with the .APG- and the .~-APG file which the server didn´t accept.

Cheers, Eskild.

Nice game. I was probably not the only one losing my leader in the early game as it took quite some time before action happened. Moreover, Fenfer left quite early (as I recall, please correct me if I´m wrong) leaving half of the board quite untouched.

One major battle at turn 38 turned to my benefit and the surrender was given the following turn. Things could have been quite different if my leader had not survived that fight.

Good game.

Screenshot shows the surrender and that our other opponent is the AI after Fenfers leave.

We both played ridiculously badly but I was a bit better!
Fighting independents, I lost 50% of my army very quickly then lose all the rest around turn 7 and kept only my leader. I was building some low tier units to get back on track when I found Castaneda's capital on the surface with 1 Cherub. His leader was in the void. Next turn I went to the capital and took it... as it was empty!

It looks like Castaneda still had an army (judging by the score) so he should definitely have kept the capital defended.
Second time I eliminate Castaneda on turn 10 (more or less), last time was in the PBEM 6 players tournament. Sorry Castaneda!

My first time playing a PBEM game, and I definitely learned a lot from all the other players. Hopefully I'll do better next time.

I was surprised goblins and necromancer were so popular.

Yes, there was a bug with the classes / races of everyone but me. I've just corrected that manually.

FYI, I was actually Goblin Necromancer, not Frostling Necromancer.

Enjoyed the game.  Though an early aggressive mistake sent
my wizard to the void which slowed things way down.  Not
much action till the end when I was way behind.

The pace was much better than I expected after seeing the
timezone order.  Thanks to all the other players for their quick
pace.  <smiletext0>

I eliminated Castenada pretty early with a stack of 2 Trolls, 1 T3, 2 T2 and my Leader, coming out of the subterraneans, razing everything and then getting in again.
Then I focused on eliminating the only other players who had started in the underground, to avoid being attacked in my domain later on. Mauvebutterfly retreated in front of my army and I took all his cities, then he got killed by independant.

At the same time, AlX was being harassed and eliminated by ExNihil.

As ExNihil was getting stronger (Monoculture), I decided to attack him and raze as much cities as possible so my secondary army attacked him at the opposite of where I assumed his main stack was (where AlX was). It worked well and I went back in the subterraneans before his main army arrived (I saw his Leader stack before his Leader got lvl 11 and invisible).

Then at some point, ExNihil made the mistake to venture close to the entry of the underground where I was lurking, I came out and killed him (he made a second bigger mistake: split his stacks so that I could take then 2 by 2 instead of 3 at the same time).

He then surrendered partly due to real life reason. Otherwise he would clearly have ended up at least 2nd and the fight would have been much longer and unsure.

Grolop was probably one of the weakest player (sorry Grolop, no offense ) but was left alone a while as Castaneda was eliminated first and was the only player next to him.
I just took very easily all his surface cities while he was attacking the cities Mauve had at the beginning.
Eventually I neared on him with many units, T4 and all and crushed him in an epic battle.
