Hey guys, I can't guarantee (but of course I will try) that I will be able to do my turns in the 2 weeks beginning from October 28th, as I will be visiting a marriage and on vacation/travelling afterwards.

Can we set off the turn timer for this time? I hope you are okay with this, else I'll need to give my account credentials to a friend who will do my turns for me or even skip them.

True..I also think they need to be accepted. Plus, someone needs to get these vassals back in line. It's not possible for one player to leave, "AI continues" and then another player takes his role, right?
In a live MP that might be possible but here?

That's somethign that also wouldn't be too bad to be added...option for someone else to continue turns for someone/take his role.

True, but Im just not sure to give the cities and surrender the same turn will work, have never tried this.
But I'm afraid that doing so wont actually send the cities/items as you need to accept this gifts?Â
The resources I know are removed directly, but not sure about the 2 others.

Oh... I hope your wrist heals up and you can come back to playing later (and you'll be welcome here!).

I think the least disrupting is to avoid you becoming an AI as AI plays really badly. So I think you should give all your cities to your allies, but distribute them as much as possible (not all to the same players), and they should not migrate them to avoid giving them a big boost in terms of RG and Race Happiness. You can also do the same with your items, gold and mana, and then you surrender. I'm not sure you can give your throne, so maybe it should stay under your control and become independent after your surrender.
Overall, your team will lose your Vassals, CP... but each player will become stronger, which should provide a short term boost. And in any case, the team will be stronger than if an AI managed your empire.
So that's more or less what Marcus and Zytozid said, except that I believe it's better for your team not to have an AI wasting the team's resources.

Woah Elysian, I'm sorry for you! Marcuspers is right: This is definitely MUCH more important than our academy game. Would be great if you could do exactly as Marcus said, just send gold/mana 1/3 to every team member and your cities to your nearest ally.
I hope you will be better soon!

Marcuspers, I think AI will take over then, right?

Sad to hear about your situation, but real life events always take priority!
In terms of what you should do, I suggest simply leave the game, no surrendering, but send all resources (/3 to each team mate) and if you have any towns except for your throne, give it to the closest ally.

Hi everyone,

Writing to let you know that I've decided to quit playing this game (and all other PC games) due to work-related wrist pain that I've had for the past 6 months. Early last week I seriously aggravated my wrist while playing my turns and I've resentfully been considering quitting for good all week. I apologize for the inconvenience and hope you understand this is what I have to do to take care of my medical and financial health. I've been working part time because of this work injury and I'm barely scrapping by.

What would you guys recommend I do to help lesson the burden of my teammates in this session? I want to make my exit as seamless and smooth as possible.

Sauna, you can probably post the true screenshot to the team (and to everyone if it doesn't show key info), I think that's a good habit to take, even for non-ranked games.

I plan to answer to the question about "how to stall and make the game last for instance if you play Dread" and add things about diplomatic costs of independents later, but lacking time for now (and I'll be on business trip for a very long time starting Friday so that may not be soon).
