I wrote a big report for the game B&I vs the Sinners. It was with very similar settings to our game so it can be informative for our game.

Looks like we are unlucky here with 2 players becoming unavailable shortly after getting their turns.

@Fluksen: the gaps in the research book are filled not every X turns but whenever you research a new skill. I think the 1st skill you research closes 2 gaps (might be only 1) and the 2nd closes the rest (might need to research 3 skills to have a full book, don't remember exactly). So you have an incentive to complete a quick skill at the beginning to get more choices in your book.

Also, I don't know if everyone knew but the research usually (it's not 100% like this, there is a part of random too) works by replacing a skill you researched by another similar one based on 1/ its spec (class or one of the 3 specializations) and 2/ its type (Empire Upgrade, Combat Spell, etc.).
So for instance if you want to unlock Order of Healing as a Theocrat, you should research in priority the other Theo's Empire Upgrade. If you want to unlock Embrace Darkness as a Shadowborn Adept, you should first research the Shadowborn techs in your research book, etc.

Spellbook

Hei btw. does anyone know how exactly the spell book works? I mean it starts out with three free spots in the research page. Are those empty spots filled every time you research a spell (so after you researched your first spell only 2 free slots remain and after your 3rd spell/upgrade all slots are filled) or will it add a spell/empire upgrade every X turns or so? I never really gave much attention to it. I just know that at some point there are no more empty research spots until you start having researched everything possible.
