I'm still testing the changes.  It turns out the game automatically assigns spells to the heroes, regardless of how I set them up.  A pain.  But I'm working through it.  I should have the game restarted tomorrow.

@gladis, what do you mean reported?

Will the Game be Reported?

I agree, I enjoyed that it was tough!
But the problem here is that it's the first thing you need to do to ensure income and a throne!
Maybe keep it as is, but give Jon a small (outpost/village) base so that failing the first battle doesn't mean certain death.

FYI, I tried the Jon Snow start 5 times.

The first time both of my heroes were berserked, but I still
won the battle with heavy loses.  My heros were one per
stack.  I actually was able to keep most of my units at a
distance (from my heros) to reduce the damage.

The second battle, Ramsey's first berserk failed and I hit
Ramsey with shout of intimidation and one of his heros with
berserk the second round.  I won easily with very few loses
(two or three minor units if I remember correctly).

The other three battles were in the middle, with one
berserk by Ramsey working and one failing.

The "Battle of the Bastards" was very very bloody.  This
setup represents that well in my mind.  Not sure how
well that fits into multiplayer game play though.

While you are changing the settings, can you decrease the Night Kings and heroes ghouling strike to:
1. Reduce strength to 7-8
2. Make mind control units immune to ghouling strike

I did a few turns and in 5 battles I got: 2 giants, 2 yetis, 5 (!) bereserkers, 1 Frost Queen, 3 White Whitches
Additionally in the tombs I got quite a few undead via control undead but 0 with necromatic circle.

The Frostling guards with first strike was especially powerful with ghouling strike, maybe remove it from them altogether?

On the other hand, I guess the Night King should be incredibly overpowered

Yes, I would like to restart.  I've reached out to Kingson to see what happened, confirm it was Beserk. I'll update the map to take away that spell. Clearly, it is too unpredictable a start for Jon Snow.

Haha yes, therefore I had asked what to do about that but no one cared:whitemanxD

I did try that first battle with Jon snow, and it was very tough!
The AI managed no less than 2 berserks, and Jon Snow, the only one with break control was running around like a wild chicken using break control, but the AI played it clever and targeted units very far away from him to maximise the damage.

Yeah he has no City. And a heroe/Knight can kill his own units in the 1st turn. Would be Funny to See him Loose without Making any damage in enemies xD Gilafron should decide what to do

Yeah, my post should have said: "Necro aura gives 2 turns mind control immunity?"

Does Jon Snow start without a Throne?
Nevertheless, I have no problem restart the game since he lost on the first turn.

I warned before that it is a big risk. No blame to Kingson, I stated that I hadn't a Clue what to do as well. Is it possible to make sure the AI Heroes don't have the berserk Spell? Quite sure those had a big impact. It is really hard to fight against this in Early Game.

Yes, I got a message that Jon Snow was defeated on turn 1.

Should we start over?

Only left or defeated? He was playing Snow(?), so my bet is on Bad Luck with the berserk Spell.

Kingson left the game?!!

I didn't modify Necro Aura or Control Undead.  So, those must be from either the base game or PBEM mod.

@marcus, gladis was stating that if Necro Aura failed, then the unit has two turns of mind control immunity.  It's not two turns of mind control if it succeeds.

Half-serious: and what about a "Capture Undead" ability on Jon Snow? To be able to bring it back to Cersei to negotiate peace!

Necro aura gives 2 turns mind control? That must be unique for the Westeros map.
Control undead always came with a spirit/fire (if holy champion) damage if unsuccessful.

I might try the Night King to see what we are up against!

Units which pass the check vs Necromatic Auro have 2 turns Mind Control Immunity in this game.
What mod did this Change? The General one or Gilafron`s?
It leads to even longer AI battles if you wait every time until the 2 have passed and you try another time Necromatic Aura. That´s not my favourite style of Play, so I won´t do this too often.
I failed to Ghoul my 1st T3 as well - would be stupid for to flee from a battle to try another time

And I noticed a bug in the discription of Control Undead. If it fails it does .... damage?
Gilafron, maybe you can check it?
There is also no check/strength mentioned for Throw Course in ist description.

The inflict ghoul curse does work on dragons in this game, and it is automatic for White Walkers (against all units).  I could add an "invoke death on dragon" for the Night King, too.  That's an interesting idea.

As for the wall, it would be difficult to trigger an event based on a unit type.  It works best for a specific unit, item, or turn count.  For now, I'm leaving it on the Horn of Joranum.

That would really be awesome if you implemented the twist we saw in Season 7 with the Night King possessing a ranged attack killing Dragons in one shot (maybe with a reload mecanism so that it takes some time to do the action) and the ability to raise Dragons' corpses as Bone Dragon that can burn down the wall (among other things)! <smiletext24>
