- A PBEM tournament (the 2015 PBEM Duel Tournament) was organized and started in 2015. It was split into 3 tournaments (16 players; 8 players #1 and 8 players #2). It entered its final phase (between the winners of each of the 3 branches) in October 2016 and was won by gabthegab in March 2017. - The 2016 2vs2 Team PBEM tournament started on 15 July 2016 and was won by team Coup de Grâce (gabthegab and Tussel) on 23 October 2018. The finale and the semi-finale (the match in between was conceded by team Green elephant).
- The 2017 PBEM Duel Tournament started on 31 January 2017 and was won by gabthegab on 18 October 2018. The finale(gabthegab vs Jean de Metz) and the videos.
The 2018 PBEM 2vs2 Tournamentstarted on 17 September 2018 and was won by Dread & Mac (DreadReapr and marcuspers) on 1 June 2020. The 3vs3 Tournament started on 12 February 2018 and was won by Dos Equis XX ($eeR+El_Lobo+Badok) on 30 April 2021 , it has its own, dedicated, Pool: 2018 PBEM Team Mini-Tournament Discussion Pool The Championsleague:
Season 1 started on 13 October 2021 and was won by mahimka. It ended on 4 April 2022. Season 2 should start on 25 April 2022.

Round 3 will start in about 3.5 days, on 2017-05-31 9:19 AM GMT. One match is still ongoing (Gilafron vs xlnt) and it may be extended by 1 month through a replay on a new map, but all the matches from round 3 except #37 will be generated on the 31st nonetheless.
DreadReapr won his match and Melciar also won his. They haven't reported yet but their opponent in round 3 can anticipate their match against them.
We received about 5 class/race so far (including from the 2 judges involved in the tournament: Marcuspers and I), so @the 11 other players (-2 for the match that may be delayed): please send your class/race to judges as soon as possible so that all round 3 matches can start without delay.
Round 3 will last 3 months to take into account the summer holidays (= there is a 1 month extension).
Reminder: round 3 will be played on the main branch (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=661597466) of the balance mod with v1.21 of the mod. Round 4 will be played with v1.22 of the mod.

Dreadnought heroes can choose Gas Mask at level 7 for 5 points: units in the stack led by this unit get 40% Blight Protection and immune to Choking Fumes, Suffocate and Disgusting Stench. Undead, Elemental, Machines and Incorporeal are not affected.
Dr19
Dreadnought heroes can choose Lava Walking for 4 points at level 9, it also gives them 100% Fire Protection
Dr21
Dreadnought heroes can choose Activate Golem at level 11 for 5 points to deploy and enter a Golem once per battle: until the end of battle, the hero gains Machine, Wall Crushing, Demolisher, Tireless, Reinforced, 40% shock weakness. @Imperium: it is difficult to satisfy everyone all the time. People do not want to constantly receive messages about balance so I try to limit my posts here to 1 per week more or less, and I do my best to keep them short, so I don't post walls of texts explaining the rationale of the changes. The rationale of the changes is available through different channels that I'm going to remind as probably many people do not know about it or forgot it:
Usually, when a discussion is ongoing somewhere, I announce it here and gives link, and then in following weeks, you see changes related to that discussion appear here. So basically, you can find the rationale in the link.
One last important thing... The priorities right now are those defined by the community during the poll on "the directions of the balance mod". Please check the results in the picture below:
Regarding paper/scissors/rock, it's already the case at the unit levels but doing it for classes would be both very resource-intensive (in terms of time needed for design, approval by the community, tests) and dangerous.

By the way I wonder if introducing some kind of rock/paper/scissors balacing to the game could be done ? This way it would maybe not matter so much if a given class is strong against a class, provided it is similarly weak against another class.
It is likely that the round will last until the deadline as several matches started late and are moving slowly.
Reminder: round 3 will be played with v1.21 of the balance mod (and round 4 probably with v1.22).

@all: a quick update to say that Triumph released v1.8 officially so now all tournament games need to be played on v1.8. It has been released on Steam and GoG (though the GoG patch seems weird to me but maybe they'll improve it tomorrow, I haven't installed it yet).

== Tournaments ==
For both 2vs2 Team Tournament and Duel Tournament, a few rules have been updated to clarify certain stuff and take into account recent developments.
Rule 1 is now worded: "The team with the highest cumulated score for non-eliminated players (dead players have 0 point) then wins the match. If scores are very close, the judges can decide that it is a draw and decide a replay the game with a shorter deadline (for instance 1 month), an extension or another solution (including awarding victory to one team), based on the circumstances of the march and the tournament."
This has been added to rule 3: "If a player skips his turn because of the timer, it is not allowed to revert the turn: the host should remove the turn timer and players should notify judges and wait for their indications on how to continue."
This has been added to rule 7: "When the rules are imprecise or do not cover a case, Judges have flexibility to take the most appropriate decisions."

Match #20 from round 3 reached turn 72 by the deadline of the end of the round but no team was defeated. Judges are currently discussing to confirm the initial conclusion that the match should continue for 2 weeks as the scores of the 2 teams were very close. As soon as the judges agree on something, we should see clearer what happens to match #20.
The round 4 game between Bastards of the North and Zia was allowed to start nonetheless.
Round 5 will start in about 11 weeks (probably more).

The winner bracket does NOT play now, they play again in round 5. Round 4 will last 11 weeks, as round 3 and as future rounds.
== Balance ==
v1.21 will be released on the main branch tomorrow if we manage to end the ongoing match of round 3 of the 2vs2 Team Tournament, otherwise it will probably be Monday.
Work for v1.22 is moving, not as fast as I'd like, but we're making good progress. We'll probably deal with many small issues and one big new topic, heroes' abilities balancing. The topic of "rarely used units" will probably be pushed to v1.23 as we lack sufficient feedback to validate changes that have already been proposed for other topics and I prefer to focus energy on getting the backlog of priority changes cleared first.
v1.22 should be used for round 4 (and not 3) of the Duel Tournament and 5 of the 2vs2 Team Tournament. It will NOT be ready for round 3 of the Duel Tournament as far as I can see.

- Blackcat vs Melciar: Blackcat needs to send class/race to judges, Melciar needs to host and post the screenshots of the settings
A few games already finished.
== 2vs2 Team Tournament ==
Only 2 games still ongoing (including 1 which I think is finished?). An extension of 2 days has been asked to the judges as a big bug on a tactical battle seems to have been discovered (the result is different from what is displayed on the replay + some units acted very strangely, suiciding themselves by taking attacks of opportunities instead of finishing units with 1 or 6 HP left) and the devs may be able to investigate it.
The judges will decide soon if this extension is given or not.
Without extension, the round ends in 7 days and 15 hours.
